Working together
Thirty minutes with a senior member of the team. We ask about your business, your systems and what is not working, and tell you plainly which service fits — or whether you need us at all. You leave with a written proposal within two business days.
A named team: a bookkeeper who processes your transactions, a reviewer who checks the close, and — where you use those services — a controller or CFO who works directly with you. You will know everyone by name within the first week.
Questions are answered within one business day. Urgent items — a lender request, a payment that must go out — are handled the same day wherever possible.
Read-only access to your bank and accounting platforms, receipts through the app we set up for you, and answers to a short batched list of questions each week. Most clients spend under an hour a month.
Pricing & commitment
Flat monthly fees agreed in advance, based on the scope of work rather than hours. One-off projects such as a clean-up are quoted as a fixed fee before any work starts. The figures on this site are sample pricing; your proposal will reflect your business.
Monthly engagements run month to month after an initial three-month period, with thirty days' notice. Edit this answer to reflect your firm's terms.
Transaction volume, the number of accounts and entities, payroll headcount, the number of sales-tax jurisdictions, and how much forward-looking work you want from us. We show you the drivers so a change in scope is never a surprise.
Yes. Many clients begin with bookkeeping or a clean-up and add controller or CFO support as the business grows. Scope is reviewed at each quarterly call.
Security & data
Read-only bank connections, two-factor authentication on every system, encrypted document transfer rather than email attachments, and access limited to the people on your team. Link your written security policy here.
You do. Your accounting platform subscription stays in your name; if we ever part ways you keep everything, with a clean handover.
Fractional CFO
Forward-looking finance leadership on a part-time basis: cash forecasting, the financial model, board and investor reporting, fundraising or lender support, and a standing monthly meeting to make decisions with numbers. It is the difference between knowing what happened and knowing what to do next.
Typically when the books are reliable but the questions have outgrown them — a raise or loan on the horizon, a board to report to, hiring decisions that feel like guesses, or a founder spending ten hours a week on finance. The Insights article "What a fractional CFO actually does" goes into detail.
Bookkeeping & accounting
Edit this answer to list the platforms your firm supports. In this demo, the firm works in the mainstream cloud accounting platforms and recommends one when a client is choosing.
Yes. We start with a fixed-fee catch-up project that brings you current, then move you onto the monthly service so it never happens again.
